Where I Come From
I was born and raised in Washington and am proud to call the Pacific Northwest home. I am also a United States Marine Corps veteran and hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My clinical experience includes several years working in a community care clinic supporting active-duty service members and their families, as well as working in a group practice with couples and individuals from the broader civilian community.
I work with individuals and couples navigating a wide range of concerns, including life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, trauma, and mental health difficulties.
Because of my military background, I feel a particular calling to support active-duty service members, veterans, law enforcement officers, first responders, and their families. I understand that service-oriented careers can involve unique pressures, responsibilities, and experiences that are not always easy to explain to people outside of those communities. My goal is to provide a grounded, respectful space where you can speak openly, process difficult experiences, strengthen your relationships, and work toward meaningful change.
My Christian faith shapes the compassion, humility, and respect I bring to my work. However, you do not need to be a Christian or hold any particular religious beliefs to work with me. I welcome clients of all backgrounds and perspectives, and I do not bring judgment, pressure, or assumptions into the room. You are welcome here exactly as you are.
When I am not working with clients, you will often find me spending time outdoors. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest gave me a lasting appreciation for nature and its ability to create space for reflection, restoration, and connection. I believe caring for our mental health extends beyond the therapy room and can include the places, activities, and relationships that help us feel grounded.
Why People Matter to Me
I have been on both sides of the hard seasons. I know what it is like to carry something heavy and to have no idea who to hand it to. The people who showed up for me in those years changed the direction of my life, and this practice is my way of being that person for someone else. Every client who sits across from me has a story worth taking seriously, and my job is to listen well, tell the truth kindly, and hand you tools that hold up outside the session.
A Word for Couples
Some of the most meaningful work I do happens with two people in the room. Relationships carry weight that individuals cannot always name alone. If you and your partner are fighting the same fight on repeat, recovering from a betrayal, preparing for marriage, or simply feeling the distance grow, couples work gives you a structured way back toward each other.

The Tools I Work With
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT works with the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behavior. I am Beck Institute trained, and I use CBT to help clients identify negative automatic thoughts, test them against reality, and restructure the core beliefs underneath them. It is practical, structured, and well supported by research for depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is one of the leading treatments for trauma. It helps the brain reprocess memories that got stuck, without requiring you to narrate every detail of what happened. Many clients who felt talked out after years of traditional therapy find EMDR moves things that would not move before.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
EFT is attachment based couples work. It looks at the patterns we carry into relationships, the ways we push a partner away when we need them most or hold on too tightly when we need space. EFT gets underneath the surface argument to the actual disconnection driving it.
The Gottman Method
The Gottman Method is a research based framework for couples built on decades of study. It is step by step and tool based, with concrete resources we use together in session. It is especially strong at helping couples talk during conflict in a way where both people feel understood.
